Lecture Series July, 2023 Topic… Texas Flora
Many native plants have fascinating stories behind them. Their little-known facts (be they archaeological, historical, material, medicinal, culinary, or cultural) enrich our lives and our appreciation of the landscape we inhabit. Drawing on his first book, Matt will focus his talk primarily on native trees, shrubs, and herbs common our area. He will finish by turning to his recent book on invasive species to show how culture, shifting attitudes, and unforeseen benefits influence their spread and management.
