PLEAS WEAR BUG SPRAY/ PROTECTION ANYTIME YOU VISIT THE NATURE CENTER!
Along with mosquitoes, ants, and others you can see, there are also the dreaded CHIGGERS!!!
At all our events we advise to wear long pants, closed toed shoes, sunblock, bug spray, and carry refillable water bottles.
This is really good advice for all patrons at anytime.
Be safe and enjoy your summer!!!

Spring is a great time for hatching, even Scorpions!
Watch out before you sit on a wooden bench or picnic table.
Scorpions will crawl between the slats to lay their eggs.
Once the eggs hatch, you can’t see the babies but
THEY DO HAVE STINGERS AND WILL STING!!!

Spring Activity & Snakes on the Move

PLEASE BE AWARE... we do have  mature rattle snakes that will NOT back down,
so do not provoke them!!! Be safe and give them a WIDE berth.
They would rather NOT run into you just as any other wild animal and they are protected at ANC.

Visit the below website for helpful hints on snake encounters…
